UMass Memorial Medical Group seeks an Academic Trauma & Acute Care Surgeon to join our established team. We welcome and support physician caregivers from all Academic Ranks to apply and join us in our relentless pursuit of healing.

About our Division:
UMass Memorial is a Level 1 Trauma Center (Adult and Pediatric) with approximately 130,000 emergency visits, 4,000 trauma activations and 2,500 Surgical ICU admissions per year into the 3 surgical ICUs comprising a total of 36 beds. In addition to an Acute General Surgery practice and Trauma day/night coverage, the group manages, as Surgical Intensivists, the vascular, transplant, general surgery, oncology, burns, neurological surgery patients and other high acuity sub-specialty patients in the two SICUs located on the University's main campus. We have a large cohort of mid-level providers (NP’s, PA’s) who provide 75% of the bedside ICU care. Industry and NIH-funded trauma-critical care research is an important component of the Division’s activities. The hospital administration is highly supportive of the Trauma Center and has creative strategies for the support of trauma and Critical Care for the UMass Memorial Healthcare System, including a new and expanded eICU function.
