General Surgery, Residency Program Director Opportunity

Weill Cornell Medicine, in partnership with NewYork-Presbyterian/Brooklyn, is looking for a Board Certified, fellowship trained Surgeon, with at least three years of documented educational and/or administrative experience, to serve as the Program Director of our ACGME Surgical Residency Program.

The Program Director, Surgery has accountability for the general surgery residency program, including compliance with all applicable program requirements, must maintain the certification of the residency program and accurate communication with the Surgery Residency Ruling Committee (RRC). The Program Director must coordinate educational activities including lecture, SCORE curriculum and simulations, as well as represent NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in the resident match process, inclusive of categorical and preliminary residents.

NewYork-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, located in Park Slope, Brooklyn, an ACS-level II trauma center, with 651-beds, academically affiliated with Weill Cornell Medicine, cares for residents throughout Brooklyn and the surrounding areas. Our academic programs include nine graduate medical education residency programs and six fellowship programs, including a large ACGME-accredited General Surgery Residency Program.

The salary range for this position is $400k-$650k. This compensation range does not include our amazing benefits and any incentive payments, based on quality measures and productivity, that may be applicable to this role.
