Trauma Medical Director

Bryan Physician Network, part of Bryan Health in Lincoln, NE is seeking an exceptional Trauma Medical Director to lead our Level II ACS Verified Trauma Center.

The ideal candidate will be a Board-Certified, Surgical Critical Care Fellowship-Trained Surgeon with extensive experience in trauma care and a proven track record of clinical excellence. This leadership role oversees all aspects of our trauma program, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, staff development, and operational efficiency. The Trauma Medical Director will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across our healthcare system.

• Provide Collaborative Leadership to the established trauma team
• 5 Surgeons / 8 APPs
• Develop and implement trauma performance improvement initiatives
• Lead trauma program development and strategic planning efforts
• Provider leadership of the Acute Care Surgery line
• Ensure compliance with state and national trauma certification
standards
• Oversee trauma education, outreach, and community engagement activities
• Foster an environment of continuous learning and professional growth
• Represent the trauma program at local, regional, and national meetings
• Collaborate with Emergency Medical Services and referring hospital networks
• Provide clinical oversight and direction for the Trauma service line
• Minimum of 2 First Call / 2 Back up Trauma Shifts
