Carilion Clinic is a multihospital group with the flagship located at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Virginia. CRMH is a state accredited level 1 trauma center and tertiary referral center for all of southwestern Virginia and eastern West Virginia. It is the primary teaching hospital of the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and offers 19 residency and fellowship training programs.

The Surgical Critical Care fellowship is a one year ACGME accredited fellowship in the care of critically ill patients from a variety of surgical subspecialities. Our 12 bed Neuro-Trauma Intensive Care Unit and 12 bed Medical-Surgical Intensive Care Unit offer a wide variety of patient pathology. In addition we offer a robust training experience in critical care ultrasound as well as a variety of elective rotations.

Qualifications: Ideally applicants for the position will have successfully completed an ACGME-accredited residency in a surgical program such as General Surgery, Neurosurgery or Obstetrics and Gynecology. However, candidates will be considered after completing their 3rd year of residency, as long as they have a documented categorical position to return to after completion of the fellowship program.
