The Lincoln Medical Center has an opening for a 1-year fellowship in Surgical Critical Care, July 2018 - June 2019. Lincoln Medical Center is a 400-bed hospital located in the South Bronx, New York. The Medical Center provides comprehensive care to a diverse population. Lincoln has a long history of ongoing excellence in Trauma Care and a busy emergency general surgery service in addition to all surgical subspecialties.

The Educational Program provides a well-rounded curriculum to prepare surgeons to become future critical care directors. In addition to the busy surgical critical care service, elective rotations for medical/pulmonary critical care, pediatric critical care and EMS critical care could be arranged to meet individual fellows' area of interest.

Trainees who have completed an ACGME approved general surgery training program are preferred. A New York State License is required.

Research opportunities

The surgical critical care fellows are encouraged to participate in clinical research projects. There is a trauma registry and other hospital based data bases along with graduate research assistants and a hospital based IRB to assist the fellow with research.
