EAST Getting to Thirty Campaign
EAST “Getting-to-Thirty” Campaign – Celebrating Thirty Years of Advancing Science, Fostering Relationships, and Building Careers
EAST is celebrating thirty years of furnishing leadership and fostering advances in the care of injured patients thanks to the support of members like you.
Because of your generosity, we’ve been able to fund valuable initiatives in research such as the Trauma Research Scholarship and the Multicenter Trials Junior Investigator Award, while developing tomorrow’s leaders in trauma and acute care surgery through programs such as the Leadership Development Workshop series. Your support has also given your fellow members the opportunity to reach out to the community in the wake of public health epidemics such as gun violence and distracted driving with Community Outreach Programs designed around injury control and violence prevention. It’s clear that EAST could not fulfill its mission without the support of its members.
In that vein, we’re celebrating thirty years of EAST with the EAST “Getting-to-Thirty” campaign and aiming to get 30% of our membership to donate at least $30 each to the EAST Development Fund. It may not sound like much, but with your support, we can raise $18,423, which will support ongoing initiatives designed to reduce the incidence of trauma and improve the care of the injured patient. Here are some examples of what $18,423 can fund:
- 1 Community Outreach Program valued at $15,000; or
- 3 Multicenter Trials Junior Investigator Awards each valued at $6,000; or
- 4 scholarships for GRADE training for EAST’s PMG development; or
- Support of the EAST INVEST-C Program that advances research ideas to research initiatives
We’re off to a great start in reaching our 30% of the membership contributing goal with 3% having made contributions as of February 2017. We just need to add that “0” to reach our goal. Help us by donating today.
