TEACH and GRADE - New York Academy of Medicine

Aug 5–7, 2015

New York, NY

REGISTRATION NOW OPEN FOR TEACH 2015, August 5-7, 2015, New York Academy of Medicine

The New York Academy of Medicine will again offer an intensive 3 day integrated workshop experience in its “Teaching Evidence Assimilation for Collaborative Research (TEACH)” series. Now in its 7th year, TEACH is unique in offering a learning environment that encompasses the essential domains necessary for delivery of evidence-based care on a routine basis.

The 3-day conference features outstanding speakers facilitators on leading issues in evidence-based clinical practice (EBCP) as well as intensive workshop tracks in basic EBCP skills (Level 1), policies and guidelines (Level 2) and system level implementation/knowledge translation (Level 3).  Level 1 is ideal for anyone who desires a grounding in the essential EBCP skill set, irrespective of their role in the healthcare system.  Level 2 explores aspects of developing, evaluating and adapting clinical policies and guidelines. both for specific healthcare settings and for broader application.  One Level 2 group will focus substantially but not exclusively on the use of the GRADE system for evidence synthesis for practice guideline development.   Level 3 address issues of quality improvement and implementation from a knowledge translation and evidence-based practice perspective.  One Level 3 group will focus substantially but not exclusively on basic principles of effective use of decision support and the electronic health record.
