Trauma / Acute Care Surgeon

Advanced Surgical Associates (ASA) is seeking an additional full-time Trauma / Critical Care / Acute Care surgeon. ASA is a multispecialty surgery group that provides surgeons for the Trauma program at Banner Desert Medical Center (BDMC) / Cardon Children’s Medical Center (CCMC) in Mesa, AZ. BDMC/CCMC is a community hospital with more than 600 licensed beds, of which 200 are devoted to pediatric patients. The facility, which received provisional designation as an Arizona Level I Trauma Center in April 2017, is seeking separate ACS Level II verifications for both Adults and Pediatrics. BDMC/CCMC is only the second Trauma Center capable of managing both Adult and Pediatric patients in the Phoenix metro area and is on track to add more than 3500 patients to its trauma registry during its first year.

Candidates must have completed fellowship training in either Trauma / Surgical Critical Care or Acute Care Surgery and be BC/BE in both General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. Candidates should also possess an interest in the initial management of pediatric trauma patients.
