Trauma Research Scholarship of the EAST Foundation

Letters of Intent are now closed for the 2015 scholarship.  The deadline was August 15, 2014.

The Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma (EAST) Trauma Research Scholarship is a research scholarship initially offered May 1, 2001.  The scholarship amount is $40,000 for one (1) year only.

Applicants are now invited to submit their Letters of Intent for the Trauma Research Scholarship.  Following receipt of the Letters of Intent, the EAST Research-Scholarship Committee, along with members of the Injury Control and Violence Prevention Committee, will judge applicants on the basis of the merit of their proposal and the potential of the applicant of future contributions to the field of injury prevention.  The top three applicants will be invited to submit full proposals by October 31, 2014.  The Research-Scholarship Committee will review full proposals in November 2014 and select the final awardee. Applicants for the EAST Foundation Trauma Research Scholarship must have completed their graduate medical education before the award period begins.  For official rules and regulations for this scholarship please refer here.

The announcement of the scholarship recipient will be made, following the review process, at the EAST Annual Scientific Assembly to be held January 13-17, 2015 in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
