Oriens Award
Fellows and Residents are invited to apply for the EAST Oriens Award for Careers in Trauma. Applicants must currently be in Fellowship or Residency (not to be completed before June 2014) to be eligible to apply. All applicants must submit a personal statement (one page maximum) on "This is why I want a Career in Trauma".
Essays must be anonymous. Information that identifies the author is not allowed. Do not include your name in the essay document (headers and footers included). Please do not use your name as the name of the essay document.
Applications for the 2014 award will open in summer 2013. Applications must be submitted by October 31, 2013.
Fellow and Resident award winners will receive:
* Complimentary registration to the 27th EAST Annual Scientific Assembly
* The Fellow winner will be invited to give an oral presentation of his/her winning essay at the 2014 EAST Oriens Award Session held during the EAST Annual Scientific Assembly
We are pleased to confirm Dr. Grace Rozycki, MD, MBA, FACS will be the 2014 Oriens Keynote Speaker.
*Award applicants will be notified of results by December 1, 2013.
