The Medical Center of Central Georgia is a JCAHO accredited 634 bed tertiary care center located in Macon, Georgia. It is one of only four Level I trauma centers in the state. The Surgical Critical Care fellow will rotate in five ICUs (MICU, NICU, STICU, CTICU, PICU) which have a total of 72 beds and an average daily census of 60. The Department of Surgery also has a General Surgery residency which graduates four chief residents per year.
