TRAUMA MEDICAL DIRECTOR OPPORTUNITY

Looking for a unique opportunity to help build an underserved region's first Level I Trauma Center? DHR Health is seeking a full time trauma medical director in the sunny Rio Grande Valley, Texas. We are looking for a candidate with exceptional leadership and clinical skills who can take us to the next level of trauma care. The ideal candidate must be Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery or American Osteopathic Board of Surgery in both Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. Additionally, the candidate must have experience as an assistant or associate professor of surgery and have practiced at a Level I Trauma Center. Experience as a trauma medical director or assistant trauma medical director is a plus. DHR Health has the region’s only surgical residency (4 residents per class). DHR Health is a 530 bed academic Level II Trauma Center in South Texas located in the Rio Grande Valley region of Texas. DHR Health, located just 70 miles west of beautiful South Padre Island, is a growing academic medical center containing the region’s only surgical residency, and is the main teaching campus for medical students from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley - Graduate Medical Education Program.
