BURN MEDICAL DIRECTOR
The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Surgery, Division of Burn Trauma and Acute Care Surgery is seeking a qualified burn medical director of the historic Parkland Burn Center. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience. Applicant must be Board Certified in General Surgery or Plastic and/or Reconstructive Surgery and eligible for a Texas Medical License.
Successful candidates will have a demonstrated excellence in clinical care, leadership, teaching and scholarly activity. Responsibilities will include providing patient care, teaching and sharing call on the burn service. The burn service is composed of an intensive care unit that treats both pediatric and adult patients, and an acute burn care unit. The burn center admits more than 600 pediatric and adult patients per year.
