Tele ICU Intensivist

The University of Kentucky is looking for board certified or eligible intensivists for it expanding eICU that opened in the spring of 2020. Coverage is a multidisciplinary team approach consisting of any Critical Care Medicine certification by a ABMS board. The opportunity could be full time in the eICU or part time with opportunity to work at the bedside in the candidate’s respective field (Pulmonary, Anesthesia, Surgery, etc.). This would be a mixture of 12 hour day and night shifts out of our central monitoring station. The eICU covers 168 ICU beds internally at the University of Kentucky Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital. We are planning to expand our coverage out into the community in the near future.

The University of Kentucky is the flagship university and healthcare center in Kentucky and has been named the No. 1 Hospital in Kentucky by U.S. News & World Report for five years in a row. Lexington is in the heart of the Bluegrass and is surrounded by beautiful landscape and lovely horse farms. The University plays a major role in commerce and cultural enhancement. It is a little over an hour drive from Louisville and Cincinnati and is a vibrant city with many cultural and recreational opportunities all year round. It has a high-quality school system and is a wonderful place to raise a family. Our team members receive excellent salary and benefits as well as an opportunity to experience a rewarding work-life balance in the beautiful bluegrass region of Kentucky, recently ranked as one of the "safest, most creative, and brainiest" cities in the nation.
