Trauma Research Scholarship

Letters of Intent closed.  The submission deadline was July 13, 2018.

The Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma (EAST) Trauma Research Scholarship is a research scholarship initially offered May 1, 2001.  The scholarship amount is $40,000 for one (1) year only and is currently funded through a grant from EAST.  The 2019 scholarship deadline for receipt of Letters of Intent was July 13, 2018.  Following receipt of the Letters of Intent, the Research-Scholarship Committee along with the Research Division Chair will judge the Letters of Intent on the basis of the merit of their research proposals, the potential of the applicant of future contributions to the science and practice of the surgery of trauma, and the applicant’s mentor support and dedication of the research proposal.  The top ranked Letters of Intent will be invited to submit full proposals by October 2, 2018.  The Research-Scholarship Committee and Research Division Chair will review full proposals in October 2018 and select the final awardee.  For official rules and regulations for this scholarship please refer  here.

The announcement of the scholarship recipient will be made, following the review process, at the EAST Annual Scientific Assembly to be held January 15-19, 2019 at the JW Marriott Austin in Austin, Texas
