I am so proud of what we as an organization have ac- complished this year through the hard work of all of our EAST volunteers as well as our EAST Administrative Office. Much of this would not be possible without Christine Eme, our Executive Director, and her staff who are miracle workers in so many ways. Engagement by great EAST volunteers has resulted in a multitude of new offerings all organized and delivered by EAST members. There are too many to list in this address but I will highlight a few. Dr. Matthew Martin and his Online Education Section have expanded our EAST Traumacasts, hosted Live Town Hall Debates and EAST Masters Webinars. Dr. Cindy Talley and the EAST Careers Section have continued to expand our EAST Careercasts. Dr. Kevin Schuster and the EAST Manuscript and Literature Review Section have coor- dinated the EAST Twitter Journal Club that has had over a million im- pressions; in addition they also maintain the EAST monthly literature reviews, which are a terrific resource for our membership. The EAST Injury Control and Violence Prevention Section under the leadership of Dr. Alex Eastman has increased our ability to get the word out to the public on Injury Prevention through Social Media with @EAST_ ICVP on Twitter. The EAST Multicenter Trials (MCT) Section under the leadership of Dr. Jose Pascual is getting noticed with four EAST MCT abstracts being accepted for presentation during the 30th EAST Annual Scientific Assembly. The section has also developed a new EAST MCT Young Investigator Award the first of which will be announced at our annual assembly in January. Dr. Andrew Bernard and the Annual Scientific Assembly Section have reorganized the Annual Scientific Assembly resulting in lower cost to attendees and Message from the President 2016 ISSUE FOUR Nicole A.
