The philosophy of the ACGME approved surgical critical care fellowship at Lehigh Valley Hospital is to provide education and exposure to the principles and practice of state-of-the-art surgical critical care. This will be made available to surgical residents who desire advanced training in critical care, and entails active participation in the care of critically ill surgical, trauma, and burn patients. The fellow will also supervise residents and medical students, participate in ICU administration and organization, and will be exposed to advanced management methodology & technology utilized in the care of the critically ill surgical and trauma patient.
