Trauma Surgery Opportunities

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking to employ several Trauma Surgeons for our ACS accredited Level 1 Trauma Center located in Hackensack, New Jersey. Candidates must be Critical Care/Trauma fellowship trained. The position includes responsibilities in Trauma, Surgical Critical Care, and Emergency General Surgery.

The ideal candidates will be BC/BE in General Surgery and fellowship trained in Surgical Critical Care. This is an excellent opportunity to join a large programmatic, collaborative team led by Stephanie Bonne, MD, FACS - Chief, Trauma and Surgical Critical Care and Trauma Medical Director.

Based on qualifications, this position offers academic appointment at Hackensack Meridian Health Medical School, a collegial atmosphere, strong staff support, competitive compensation, and a robust benefits package.

Hackensack University Medical Center’s Trauma Center provides the highest level of trauma care to critically ill or injured patients and serves as a state-wide resource.

- HUMC is a 711-staffed bed, non-profit, research and teaching hospital
providing tertiary and healthcare needs
- Service includes a 25-bed ‘state of the art’ ICU opening December 2022
- Over 4300 Trauma patients treated
- 2100 Trauma admissions
- 300 Transfers from area hospitals
- Patients Transferred via ground or Air Med transport
