Trauma Program Manager

The Trauma Program Manager is a registered nurse who reports to the SACC Service Line leadership and is responsible for the organization of services and systems for the trauma population. The TPM is responsible for clinical activities, education, outreach, performance improvement; clinical databases that support optimal care for trauma patients as well as HR management of the Trauma Service Physician Assistants, Injury Prevention Coordinator, part time Administrative Assistant, TQIP, and Trauma Registry Staff. Experienced and capable of serving as an ATLS course coordinator.

Minimum Training and Education: Master’s degree in Nursing required with 5 years of work experience in a Level One trauma center. Three years of supervisory or management experience in a nursing setting required. Requires licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or Compact State. Current (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Successful completion of Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required. Responsible for planning and comprehensive operations of the Level One Trauma Program. Current knowledge base of procedures, techniques, equipment, technical advances and regulatory agencies and standards within the field of trauma nursing. Ability to implement sound business and human resource management principles.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities: Experienced and capable of serving as an ATLS course coordinator.
