Statement:
Whole blood transfusion has been increasing in popularity to prevent the devastating coagulopathy seen with unbalanced massive transfusion. There have been several recent publications regarding whole blood transfusion. This PMG is needed to analyze the available data and encourage or discourage whole blood usage.
