The Efficacy and Safety of Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) Following Orthopedic Trauma2019

Type: New Practice Management Guideline (PMG)
Category: Trauma
Committee Liaison: George Kasotakis, MD, MPH

Team leader(s)

There is equipoise regarding the use of NSAIDs in orthopedic trauma and the safety with respect to non-union has been questioned. Given the role of NSAIDs in multi-modal pain control in the trauma patient there is a need for guidance on the use and safety of NSAIDs in orthopedic trauma.

This PMG is jointly sponsored with the Orthopaedic Trauma Association.
