UHCMC is seeking a Trauma/Critical Care Surgeon to join a growing Acute Care Surgery modeled division. UHCMC is a 1032 bed academic/tertiary care medical center with a Level I Trauma Program, admitting approximately 1,900 patients annually. A 10-bed trauma ICU, 20-bed neuro ICU provides dedicated trauma critical care for the institution. Requirements for this position include ABMS-BC/BE in General Surgery, fellowship training and CAQ in Surgical Critical Care. Individuals sought must be highly motivated, team-oriented, committed to surgical care, resident, student and advance practitioner education. Clinical duties include oversight and continuing development of the Trauma, Critical Care, and Emergency Surgery services that are supported by general surgery residents and advance practitioners. The financial compensation is highly competitive and uses MGMA benchmarking. There are also expanding opportunities to conduct clinical and outcomes research.
