Trauma and Critical Care Surgeon

The Division of Trauma, Acute Care and Critical Care Surgery at the Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Penn State Children’s Hospital, and Penn State College of Medicine is seeking an additional full-time academic Trauma and Critical Care surgeon.

Position Highlights:

• The Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is the only medical facility in Pennsylvania to be accredited as both an adult and a pediatric Level 1 trauma center.
• Faculty candidate will be joining a growing nine-member division
• Position appointment will be at the Assistant/Associate Professor level.
• Position will include coverage of the Trauma and Emergency General Surgery services, providing care in our 30-bed Surgical Intensive Care Unit, research, graduate medical education, and elective general surgery.
• Division has ongoing DOD-funded research as well as an active clinical research program.
• In addition to leading an expanding global surgery program, the Division offers Fellowship in Acute Care Surgery and Surgical Critical Care.
• Academic rank, track, and salary are competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

What We’re Seeking:

• M.D., M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree
• Demonstrated excellent qualifications in education, research, and clinical care
• Must be BE/BC by the American Board of Surgery in Surgery and Critical Care
