Acute Care Surgeon
The Division of General Surgery, Section of Acute Care Surgery at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine is seeking a talented, acute care surgeon to join our contemporary practice. The successful candidate will join a thriving and expanding division. The Section of Acute Care Surgery is comprised of 5 teams, staffed daily by 3 Faculty, 3 Chief Residents, 1 or 2 Surgical Critical Care Fellows, 3 Junior Residents, 7 Interns, and 3 APPs. Our adult level I trauma center serves a 50-100-mile radius and a population of over 1,000,000 that includes a large rural and mountainous Appalachian expanse outside Lexington’s Metropolitan area (350,000). UK Healthcare has been ranked Kentucky’s #1 Hospital by U.S. News and World Report for 3 years in a row.
