Trauma/Critical Care/Acute Care Surgeon

Mount Sinai Health System in NYC is seeking a fellowship trained Trauma/Critical Care/Acute Care Surgeon to join our outstanding trauma team at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s. The ideal candidate will be board-certified in General Surgery, with sub-specialty certification in Surgical Critical Care. This position will be an academic faculty appointment at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai working with surgical residents and be part of a 4-surgeon group dedicated to trauma/critical care/acute care surgery

Mount Sinai St. Luke’s is an ACS-designated Level 2 Trauma Center. It is Mount Sinai’s only designated trauma center in Manhattan, and receives transfers from both within and outside the Health System. In 2017, the hospital had approximately 88,000 emergency department visits and more than 1000 trauma activations and 800 trauma admissions. The trauma program has been steadily growing and hopes to reach Level 1 status. Dr. Raymond Wedderburn, who is board-certified in trauma surgery and critical care, leads the division.
