Each year, the EAST office receives CBE Sapproximately 150 responses. The deadline for the FO IPSTERINGNSH Call for Volunteers just passed and now the real work begins. Our fearless TIORELAPresident-Elect and Executive Director will now get down to work on making assignments. Obviously not everyone can get their first choice, but we try incredibly hard to get everyone assigned to one of their top three choices. In This Issue Everyone who responds gets placed on a committee. At any given time,Published PMGs/EBRs,approximately 300 members are serving the organization on a committee Call for Proposals or taskforce. EAST is an organization that produces a huge number ofeducational materials, mentoring opportunities, research opportunities, Executive Leadership networking experiences, guideline development, etcall through the hard Coaching & Mentoring work of our volunteer army of committee and taskforce members. OnceJoin EAST you are assigned to a committee, what you do with it is up to you. I want toEAST Member Challenge thank you all for that dedication and effort and encourage those who are not currently involved to get involved! I promise that the networking, collaboration, and comradery with your fellow members of the trauma community gained Strategic Goals through this work will benefit you for the rest of your career.LEADERSHIP But EAST is not just committee and taskforce work. This year the Annual Prepare early career andScientific Assembly Committee put out a Call for Discussants for themid-career surgeonsfirst time. Nearly 200 responses were received! Just more opportunity to to become leaders get involved.
