The scholarship amount is $40,000 for one (1) year only.

5. This proposal may be submitted to other funding sources for support.  Submission for support elsewhere will not affect the evaluation of the proposal; however, in the event that more than one award is offered, the investigator will be required to accept only one source of funding.

6. EAST membership is NOT required for application. The applicant must identify a mentor to provide academic and scientific leadership. The mentor is not required to be an Active or Mentor member of EAST but must have an expertise in the area of research. Recipients of the Trauma Research Scholarship are expected to have IRB/IACUC approval by July 1st of the year in which they receive the award, and must provide documentation of approval to the Research and Scholarship Committee by this date. Scholarship funds will not be awarded until appropriate documentation is provided.
