EASTnews2015Issue14ItisbothanhonorandaprivilegetoserveasthenewEASTFoundationPresident.IwouldrstliketocongratulateEASTsNewPresi-dentDr.StanleyKurekJr.IwouldalsoliketothankEASTsleadershipandthemembersotheEASTAnnualScienticSectionordevelopinganoutstandingscienticprogramduringthe28thEASTAnnualScienticAssemblyinLakeBuenaVistaFloridathispastJanuary.Theannualmeetingprovidesauniquein-personnetworkingopportunitytocollaboratewithmembersothetraumaandacutecaresurgerycommunity.TheEASTFoundationistrulygrateulorthepartnershipwithEASTandlooksorwardtoshowingitscontinuedsupportandcommitmentinurtheringthemissionoEAST.OnbehaloEASTandtheEASTFoundationIwouldliketoconveyoursinceregratitudeoryourgenerouscontributionsoverthepastyearandatthe28thEASTAnnualScienticAssembly.TheFounda-tionhelditsAnnualDonorRafeandanunprecedentednumberonewdonorsdonationsandpledgesweremadeduringthemeetingItisthroughyourgitsthatweareabletosupportEASTsinitiativesandwewouldliketoextendourutmostgratitudeoryourinvestmentintheutureoyourorganization.TheEASTFoundationwouldalsoliketothankourgenerousdonorsordonatingprizesorthisyearsrafe.BothEASTandtheFoundationwouldliketograteullyacknowledgeourCorporatePartnersortheircontributionsandsupport.DuringthispastmeetingboththeEASTFoundationandinitiativesoEASTweresupportedthroughavarietyoeducationalgrantsandromourCorporatePartners.TheEASTFoundationreceivedmorethan150000incorporatecommitmentsduringthe2014-2015Appeal.ThesecondannualEASTFoundationandEASTExhibitorAppre-ciationReceptionwasheldatthe28thAssembly.ThereceptionisachanceortheFoundationandEASTleadershiptoextendourthankstoalloourmemberandcorporatepartnersinadditiontotheexhibitorsortheirgeneroussupport.Thisyearwewereabletorecognizemorethan200membersandcompanyrepresentativesortheircommitmentinsupportingtheeortsoEASTandtheEASTFoundation.Pleasetakeamomenttoviewour2014-2015MemberPartnersand2014-2015CorporatePartnersontheFoundationssectionotheEASTwebsite.TheEASTFoundationhostedits8thAnnualDodgeballTournamentthisyear.PleasejoinmeincongratulatingourFirstPlaceteamLe-highValleyShockersledbyteamcaptainDr.MichaelPasquale.OurrunnerupwasTeamInsanity-MetroHealthledbyteamcaptainDr.EASTFoundationUpdateRobertBarracoMDMPHFACSFCCP
