EAST news | 2018 Issue 2 4 EAST Multicenter Trials Committee EAST Multicenter Trial Junior Investigator Award The call for Letters of Intent (LOI’s) to apply for the 2019 EAST Multicenter Trial Junior Investigator Award are open! The LOI submission deadline for the award is June 15, 2018. The EAST Multicenter Trial Junior Investigator Award is to assist a junior primary investigator to successfully conduct and publish a multicenter trial assembling data from five or more centers which seeks to answer an important and novel question in the practice of trauma, acute care surgery or surgical critical care which will change or significantly affect the care of injured or critically ill patients. Smith, MD, PhD, EAST Research Division Chair, Director- at-Large October 1st Deadline: Call for Multicenter Trial Proposals for Sponsoring by EAST Our annual 2019 call to lead an EAST Multicenter Trial is now under way! The submission deadline is October 1, 2018. The main goal of the EAST Multicenter Trials program is to facilitate the design and execution of multicenter prospective or retrospective research studies. In this capacity the EAST Multicenter Trials Committee enables researchers to collaborate with other centers.
