Your support allows us to achieve our vision of being the premier organization for early and mid-career surgeons. In addition, this enables the funding of awards, scholarships, and programs to empower these future leaders of our profession while also improving patient care. Dr. Julia Coleman, recipient of the 2023 EAST Oriens Fellow Award, recently said it best:EAST has supported me through the years, and this hasallowed me to build a network that led to my fellowship and first job, research collaborations that continue to empower my science, and annually energizes me to be the best I can for my patients. I will forever be grateful for the family Ive found at EAST and in the Oriens circle. (Read Dr. Colemans full testimonial to the right). The greatest strength of our association lies in the fellowship of our membership, which fosters interdisciplinary collaboration and allows us to fulfill our mission of providing leadership and development for early and mid-career surgeons active in the acute surgical management of the ill and injured patient. Thank you for all the ways you continue to strengthen our community through the power of giving backthrough mentorship, committee involvement, research collaboration, and the development of educational resources. As we head into 2023, we encourage you to get involved in EAST, expand your network, develop new skills, and make an impact on our community!
