This activity will promote well-organized treatment options for trauma patients suffering from penetrating injuries. Didactic and hands-on training will provide head-to-toe assessments of complex injury patterns treated in civilian and battlefield trauma. It will highlight the crucial relationship of expeditious prehospital transport, blood resuscitation, and damage control surgery. Bringing experts from urban, rural and military backgrounds to present multi-faceted approaches in the care of the most challenging types penetrating trauma; this conference will highlight some of the newest surgical techniques and state-of-the-art equipment assembled.
