Qualifications: Foreign medical school applicants must be ECFMG certified. Observerships do not fulfill this requirement.

Three letters of recommendation in addition to a letter from the applicant’s program director in general surgery residency.
Photo.
ABSITE transcript.
USMLE transcript.
MSPE.
One-page personal statement defining your interest in surgical critical care.

Research opportunities

Fellows are expected to participate in research projects leading to presentations at national meetings and to submit a manuscript to a peer-reviewed journal.

We have developed a Clemson/Prisma Health research collaborative that pairs Clemson undergraduate students with our fellows to assist fellows in completing their research ideas.
