The EAST INVEST-C Research Hackathon opened doors for me in the trauma research community. Connecting with experienced surgeon-scientists provided valuable advice for the development and refinement of my research. I’m still trying to acquire funding, and this was an exceptional opportunity to speak with multiple funded trauma investigators. I formed new relationships and found a new mentor to support my K23 application. It's a great opportunity for any early-stage investigator interested in advancing their research.
