Leadership Development Workshop Scholarship

DO YOU WANT TO BE A TRAUMA SURGERY LEADER?

In an effort to recognize early career trauma leaders, EAST seeks members who are interested in becoming future leaders in trauma and acute care surgery. To aid in the development of these leaders, EAST selects up to five individuals each year to sponsor their course tuition for the three-year Leadership Development Workshop series.  It is anticipated that individuals who apply for this scholarship will commit to participating in the three-year Leadership Development Workshop series.

DO YOU WANT TO BE A BURN SURGERY LEADER?

In 2021, EAST has added an additional scholarship in honor of Dr. Jessica Summers. Dr. Summers was a burn and trauma surgeon and an active member of EAST who died unexpectedly in July of 2021. Dr. Summer’s passionate dedication to mentoring and supporting the future leaders in the field of burn surgery was inspirational. In her honor, EAST will select an individual who is dedicated to a career in burn surgery to sponsor their course tuition for the three-year Leadership Development Workshop series.
