As a young surgeon scientist, the EAST Trauma Research Scholarship gave me the opportunity to conduct my first clinical trial. I will now have the necessary preliminary data to apply for a NIH K award or R21 with the goal of eventually achieving R01 funding to support large prospective trials.
Area of Research: Prospective evaluation of cerebral autoregulation and cerebral vasospasm in patients with traumatic brain injury using near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS)
