As an EAST GRADE Workshop Scholarship Recipient, I was able to develop the necessary skills to critically evaluate medical literature and apply this to the development of GRADE validated Clinical Practice Guidelines. As a member of the Guidelines Committee, this scholarship has afforded me the confidence and knowledge to not only help develop various guidelines, but also teach fellow EAST members the principles of GRADE guideline creation so we as an organization can continue this amazing tradition. It also gave me the opportunity to interact and continue to develop relationships with other EAST members, which only strengthens the organization as a whole. This was truly a great experience.
