The Washington University Surgical Critical Care Fellowship offers multidisciplinary training at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, one of the nation’s leading academic medical centers. The 12-month program is dedicated to preparing outstanding surgeons for rewarding careers in critical care medicine. The program provides comprehensive training in a supportive and stimulating environment. Fellows spend nine months receiving clinical training; the remaining three months can be spent gaining additional clinical experience or pursuing projects in basic or clinical research.

Qualifications: Surgical critical care trainees must be board eligible in general surgery, urology, neurosurgery or obstetrics and gynecology. The program is approved by the American College for Graduate Medical Education and participates in the National Resident Matching Program.
