The Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma (EAST) opposes all forms of racism, prejudice, violence, and bigotry. As healers, it is our responsibility to care for everyone with equal compassion and dedication, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, social class, disability, or sexual orientation.

EAST remains committed to a more inclusive, just, and equitable society. We will continue to support the voices of all our patients, colleagues, and community members in our ongoing fight against racism and bigotry. We reaffirm our commitment towards eliminating systemic injustices in healthcare and in our community at large.
