Preliminary program now available!

The EVTM Workshop in Örebro, Sweden, is the only European EVTM Workshop. It is not a course but rather a workshop in order to allow both organizers and attendees to mutually exchange knowledge, experience and ideas to stimulate multidisciplinary discussions and further development.

A combination of seminars, discussions and hands-on training on live tissue and models are used, aimed at teaching endovascular resuscitation through endovascular access skills, REBOA,  embolization, and other methods for hybrid bleeding control. Both basic and advanced methods are practiced, based on personal experience.

Attendees have been experienced physicians with trauma, bleeding and resuscitation interest (trauma, general and vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists and intensivists) seeking to develop or improve their understanding and skills as well as physicians with either limited or no previous endovascular training. Workshops are individually tailored to fit the level of the participants!

The use of REBOA is a main focus as a rapidly evolving procedure for gaining hemodynamic control in unstable exsanguinating patients. During the workshop, the participants are introduced to the use of REBOA and practice on live tissue with on-line monitoring in multiple scenarios. CPR REBOA, bleeding REBOA, total REBOA (tREBOA), partial REBOA (pREBOA), intermittent REBOA (iREBOA), pre-hospital REBOA, ICU aspects and much more!

The organizers, experts with extensive experience and frontline researchers within the field, aim to give the participants enough training to feel comfortable incorporating the taught techniques into their own trauma practice.

Specific workshops have been conducted for surgical residents as part of their surgical training as well as for helicopter, military and ambulance personnel focusing on introducing and implementing the EVTM concept in the pre-hospital environment.

To further establish the concept of EVTM, REBOA and endovascular resuscitation, the organizers also help to build and conduct similar workshops worldwide. Recently, the first Brazilian EVTM workshops were performed in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, the first international courses in Brazil on aortic balloon occlusion using REBOA. Furthermore, there will be an EVTM/REBOA Workshop at the 91st Chilean and International Surgery Congress, scheduled for November 7st-10th in Puerto Varas, Chile. Other EVTM partner workshops will be conducted in Israel, Russia, Finland, Denmark, France and other countries.

Want to build an EVTM program / REBOA program in your hospital? We can help you establish it! Contact us for more details. The EVTM workshops are non-profit and based on good-will for better care of hemodynamically unstable patients.

We would like to thank our friends from the industry for their generous support!
